International Piano Recital - Pietro Fresa

Pietra Fresa, a 17 year old pianist from Italy flies to Shrewsbury's St Chad's Church to play a recital of music by Beethoven, Schumann, Chopin and Debussy.

1940s Music Hall Evening

Step back in time, and along to some fantastic music, at our nostalgic 1940s-themed music hall evening at Blists Hill Victorian Town.   To kick-off the evening we’re serving up a delicious feast of Spam Hash with Carrots and Potato Mash followed by Pear Crumble in the atmospheric Forest Glen Refreshment Pavilion. After you’ve enjoyed our home-cooked dinner we’ll be taking to the dance floor with a night of fantastic music and entertainment straight from the Forties!

Running the Gauntlet – A Dramatic History of a Victorian Country House

Born out of the wealth of the industrial revolution and solidly built to stand the test of time the Victorian mansion has long been a showcase of the rise and fall of the English country house. Stokesay Court is no exception and to mark 125 years since its completion the Time Flies Theatre Company has written a special performance, to be shown on the 6th and 7th of October, documenting some of the highs and lows faced by such houses and families throughout the country in the intervening years.From their heyday as family homes and places to entertain, through their various uses in two world wars, many houses struggled and fell into disrepair as fortunes and lifestyles changed. Then reinvention for the 21st century; take a look at how these places stand the test of time and continue to reveal their secrets.

A one day craft market showcasing the high quality product produced ny local crafters. Products range from cheese to knit wear, ceramics and jewellery. Bordeaux Masterclass with David Launay

A Bordeaux Masterclass with the Commercial Director of CA Grands Crus, David Launay. Guests will sample a selection from their properties of Château Grand-Puy-Ducasse in Pauillac, Château Meyney in Saint Estèphe and Château La Tour de Mons in Margaux. This is a great opportunity not only to taste these three excellent properties, but also to compare and contrast the styles from three of the Médoc communes and with David’s encyclopaedic knowledge to guide you, an interesting and insightful evening awaits.
